What is EAC certification?
EAC certification, or Eurasian Economic Union Certification, is a product conformity assessment procedure implemented among member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) to ensure that products comply with the Union's unified technical regulations. Products that obtain this certification may affix the EAC mark, which must be at least 5 millimetres in height and permanently marked on the product or its packaging. This certification system promotes free trade among member states, reduces technical barriers, ensures consumer safety and environmental protection, and enables products to circulate freely among member states such as Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.

Scope of Application Requirements
Automotive parts and other products must comply with the Eurasian Union's technical regulations, particularly those related to vehicle safety, such as TRCU 018/2011 (Safety of Wheeled Vehicles). Different types of products are subject to specific technical regulations governing their standards in terms of safety, quality, and other aspects.

Certification Type Requirements  
EAC Declaration of Conformity: Applicable to low-risk products. Companies may self-declare that their products comply with relevant technical regulations, but must still prepare necessary technical documents for regulatory authorities to review.
Marking Requirements  
Certified products must be affixed with the EAC mark, which must be permanently marked on the product or its packaging. The mark’s height must not be less than 5 millimetres to ensure clarity and durability, facilitating market supervision and consumer identification.

Certification Process Requirements  
Determine Certification Requirements  
Companies must clarify whether their products require EAC certification and confirm the applicable technical regulations and standards. Different products correspond to different regulations and standards, and accurate determination is the foundation for subsequent certification.

Prepare Documents  
Collect and organise the necessary technical documents, including product specifications, technical manuals, design drawings, test reports, and ISO 9001 quality management system certificates. These documents must accurately reflect the product's characteristics and quality status.

Selecting a Certification Body
Select a certification body with EAC certification qualifications (e.g., Shanghai Jinghe Industry) to ensure it has relevant experience and professional capabilities. Certification results are only recognised by member states of the Eurasian Economic Union if conducted by a legitimate and qualified certification body.

Submit the application
Submit the application form and relevant documents to the certification body. When filling out the Eurasian Economic Union certification application form, clearly state the name, model, quantity, and corresponding customs code of the exported product to ensure the accuracy of the information.

Document review and on-site audit
The certification body conducts an initial review of the submitted documents to ensure their completeness and compliance. If necessary, experts from the certification body will visit the production site for an audit and product testing to ensure that the actual production process and product quality meet the requirements.

Modify Documents (if applicable)  
If the initial review is not passed, the applicant must make adjustments based on the certification body's feedback and resubmit the relevant documents or samples until the review is passed.

Prepare and Issue the Certificate  
After the certification body completes the certificate draft, the applicant confirms its accuracy, and the EAC certification certificate is officially issued.

Affixing the EAC Mark and Customs Clearance
After obtaining EAC certification, the applicant must affix the EAC mark on the product and complete customs clearance procedures using a copy of the certificate to ensure the product can enter the Eurasian Economic Union market smoothly.
