Technical Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Union 048/2019 “On the requirements for the energy efficiency of energy-consuming devices”

This Technical Regulation applies to energy-consuming devices put into circulation on the territory of the Union according to the list in Appendix No. 1 to TR EAEU 048/2019.

Devices must be manufactured to meet all energy efficiency requirements. These requirements are presented in the appendix to this regulation.

    Product labeling should be clear and applied to each unit of the product. In case when all marking information cannot be indicated on the product, they are indicated in the attached operational documentation for the device.

Marking must contain:

    Name, designation of the device (model, type, brand)
    Main specifications
    Manufacturer’s name / trademark
    Country of origin

Operational documents must contain the following information:

    Information according to the clause 10 of TR EAEU 048/2019
    Information about the purpose of the device
    Installation, connection, commissioning, etc.
    Characteristics and parameters of the device
    Name and address of the manufacturer, importer
    Date of manufacture
    Label and technical sheet.

    All information in the marking and operational documents must be in Russian and / or in the state language of the Member State of the Customs Union, on the territory of which the device is planned to be sold.

Before releasing the device into circulation on the territory of the countries of the Customs Union, it is necessary to undergo a check of compliance of this device with the requirements of TR EAEU 048/2019 and the requirements of other regulations that apply to this device.
According to the requirements of TR EAEU 048/2019, conformity is carried out in the form of Certification according to schemes – 1c, 3c and 4c, or in the form of a Declaration according to schemes – 1d, 2d, 3d, 4d and 6d.

    To apply for a Certificate (Declaration) of Conformity, an applicant can only be a company registered in the territory of the Customs Union or an individual entrepreneur.

Devices that have passed the procedure for compliance with the requirements of Technical Regulations 048/2019, as well as the requirements of other technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union, which apply to it, are marked with EAC label.
