What is EAC certification?
EAC certification, or Eurasian Economic Union Certification, is a product conformity assessment procedure implemented among member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). It certifies that products comply with the unified technical regulations established by the Eurasian Economic Union, with the unified mark being EAC. This certification applies to member states such as Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan. Since 15 February 2013, products listed on the Customs Union's product list must obtain EAC certification, replacing the previous national certifications such as Russia's GOST-R certification, Belarus' GOST-B certification, and Kazakhstan's GOST-K certification, enabling products to circulate freely among member states.

Scope of EAC Certification
Machinery and Equipment
Industrial machinery: such as various types of machine tools, injection moulding machines, packaging machinery, etc. These industrial machines play a critical role in production processes. EAC certification ensures their safety and reliability in the Eurasian Economic Union market. For example, the precision and stability of machine tools directly impact the quality of processed products, and certification ensures compliance with local industrial production requirements.
Agricultural machinery: such as tractors, combine harvesters, etc. Agriculture holds a significant position in Eurasian Economic Union countries, and the quality and performance of agricultural machinery directly impact agricultural production efficiency and output. EAC certification ensures the suitability and safety of these machines in local markets.  
Electrical and Electronic Products  
Home Appliances: such as refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, etc. These products are closely related to people's daily lives. Certification ensures they comply with local standards in terms of electrical safety, electromagnetic compatibility, etc., safeguarding consumer safety.
Electronic devices: such as computers, mobile phones, and tablets. With the development of information technology, the use of these electronic devices is becoming increasingly widespread. EAC certification helps ensure they meet local regulatory requirements in terms of communication and data security.  
Construction Materials Category  
Basic materials such as cement and steel: These are the foundation of construction projects, and their quality directly impacts the structural safety of buildings. EAC certification ensures these materials meet local construction standards in terms of strength and durability.
Functional materials such as insulation materials and waterproofing materials: These materials play a crucial role in the energy efficiency and waterproofing functions of buildings. Certification ensures their performance meets local usage requirements.  
Automobiles and components  
Complete vehicles: Whether sedans, buses, or trucks, all vehicles entering the Eurasian Economic Union market must obtain EAC certification to ensure they comply with local regulations in terms of safety performance and emissions.  
Automotive components: Such as engines, tyres, and braking systems. The quality of components directly impacts the overall performance and safety of vehicles. Certification ensures the compatibility and reliability of these components with the vehicle.
Food and agricultural products
Processed foods: Including canned foods, beverages, candies, etc. EAC certification ensures that food meets local food safety regulations in terms of hygiene, safety, and nutritional labeling.
Agricultural products: Such as grains, fruits, vegetables, etc. Certification ensures that agricultural products meet local standards in terms of pesticide residues and quality grades.
Medical Devices and Pharmaceuticals
Medical devices: From simple medical bandages and syringes to complex medical equipment such as CT scanners and MRI machines, all require EAC certification to ensure their safety and efficacy, thereby safeguarding patient health.
Pharmaceuticals: The quality and safety of pharmaceuticals directly impact public health and safety. EAC certification requires that pharmaceuticals comply with local pharmaceutical regulations throughout the research, production, and packaging processes.
According to the 526th resolution of the Alliance Committee on 28 January 2011, there are 61 categories of products requiring CU-TR certification. Mandatory enforcement began in phases starting on 15 February 2013.
