What is EAC certification? Which countries are included in EAC certification? What is EAC certification? EAC certification, or Eurasian Economic Union Certification, is a certification system that verifies a product's compliance with the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). This certification system was established by the EAEU to ensure product quality, protect consumer safety, safeguard the environment, and promote free trade among member states. Products that have obtained EAC certification may display the EAC mark, indicating that the product meets the unified safety, quality, and environmental standards within the Union and can circulate freely in the relevant member state markets. Since 15 February 2013, all products listed on the Customs Union's product list must obtain EAC certification, replacing the previous individual certification systems of member states, such as Russia's GOST-R certification, Belarus' GOST-B certification, and Kazakhstan's GOST-K certification.

Countries covered by EAC certification
EAC certification applies to the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union, specifically the following five countries:
Russia: As the largest economy and market in the Eurasian Economic Union, Russia imposes strict requirements on the quality and safety of imported products. Many products entering the Russian market must obtain EAC certification, such as machinery and equipment, electronic products, food, and medical devices.
Belarus: It has extensive trade ties with other member states in industries such as manufacturing and agriculture. EAC certification ensures the quality and compatibility of products in the Belarusian market, playing a crucial role in the stable development of its domestic economy and the smooth conduct of foreign trade.
Kazakhstan: As an important economic entity in Central Asia with abundant resources, Kazakhstan engages in trade cooperation with other member states across multiple sectors such as energy, machinery, and chemicals. EAC certification facilitates trade liberalisation between Kazakhstan and other member states, reducing trade costs.
Armenia: The country's economic development is highly dependent on foreign trade. EAC certification has opened up broader markets for Armenian enterprises while ensuring domestic consumers can purchase products that meet standards.
Kyrgyzstan: Primarily focused on agriculture and light industry, EAC certification helps improve product quality, enhance competitiveness in regional markets, and drive domestic industrial upgrading and development.
