Introduction to Oil Tubing, Casing, and Drill Pipes
Oil tubing, casing, and drill pipes are essential components of oil well tubing. Among these, casing is a steel pipe used to support the walls of oil and gas wells, ensuring the smooth progression of drilling operations and the normal operation of the entire well after completion. Each well requires multiple layers of casing based on drilling depth and geological conditions. After installation, cementing is performed, making casing a disposable material. It accounts for over 70% of total oil well tubing consumption and is categorised into guide casing, surface casing, technical casing, and production casing based on application. Oil tubing and drill pipes differ from casing. Oil tubing is used to transport oil during crude oil extraction, while drill pipes are used to transmit power to drive the drill bit and break rock.

CUTR Certification (EAC Certification) Definition
CUTR certification, also known as Customs Union certification, is named after its certification mark, the letters EAC, and is also referred to as EAC certification. The Customs Union is an economic group led by Russia, comprising Russia, Belarus (formerly known as ‘Belarus’), and Kazakhstan (later joined by Armenia and Kyrgyzstan in the Eurasian Economic Union). EAC certification became mandatory in 2015, and products with EAC certification can be directly imported and sold in these countries. The terminology used in China is not uniform, and it is also referred to as ‘Customs Union’ certification or CU-TR certification, but these are all the same certification, similar to how foreign companies refer to China's CCC certification as GB certification.

Certification Process  
Submit Application  
An enterprise or entrepreneur within the Customs Union submits an EAC certification application for oil pipe casing drill pipes to the certification body. Foreign companies can include their manufacturer information in the application.

Prepare Documents  
The following documents are typically required:  
Certification Application Form: Includes basic information about the applicant and the product.  
Product Customs Code: Used to clarify product classification.  
User Manual and Photos: Detailed instructions on product usage and product appearance.  
Other Certification Certificates: Such as previously obtained quality certifications.  
Business License: Proof of the company's legal business qualifications.  
ISO 9001 Certificate: Demonstrates the company's quality management system standards.
Product Technical Documents: Including detailed technical information such as product specifications, performance parameters, and production processes.

Product Testing
The certification body (Shanghai Jinghe Industrial) will conduct tests on the oil pipe casing drill pipe in accordance with relevant technical regulations to verify compliance with safety and quality standards. For example, testing the casing's compressive strength, corrosion resistance, and other performance characteristics, as well as the drill pipe's torque load capacity.

Audit and Evaluation
The submitted documents and product test results will be reviewed and evaluated to determine whether the product meets the certification criteria.

Certificate Issuance
If the audit and evaluation are passed, the certification body (Shanghai Jinghe Industrial) will issue a CUTR (EAC) certification certificate, which will include product-related information and the certification validity period.

Significance of Certification
After obtaining CUTR (EAC) certification, oil tubing, casing, and drill pipes can be freely circulated and sold in Customs Union countries, helping enterprises expand into markets in Russia and other relevant countries, enhance product market competitiveness and credibility, and reduce trade barriers and obstacles.
