Overview of the Certification System
EAC certification (Eurasian Conformity) is a mandatory product certification system uniformly implemented by the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), applicable to member states such as Russia and Kazakhstan. Dairy products, honey, and grains exported to Russia must all undergo the corresponding CU-TR (Customs Union Technical Regulations) certification. Key Regulatory Control Points
Product Definition: Applies only to natural honey; ‘honey products’ containing mixed syrups must be certified under other food categories
Mandatory Testing:
Physical and Chemical Indicators: Moisture content (≤20%), acidity (≤40 meq/kg)
Safety Indicators: Lead (≤0.1 mg/kg), chloramphenicol (≤0.3 μg/kg), and other veterinary drug residues
Labelling Requirements: Must indicate the source plant, collection location, producer information, and a statement that the product complies with TR CU 021/2011

Certification Process
Submit the application form and product analysis report
Random sampling for testing (must be conducted at an alliance-approved laboratory)
After document review, an EAC Certificate of Conformity is issued, valid for 5 years
Grain EAC Certification (TR CU 015/2013)

Note: seeds and processed products (such as flour) are not subject to this regulation
