TR CU Declaration EAC Declaration of the Customs Union

EAC Declaration of conformity is the second form of confirmation of conformity of products to the requirements of technical regulations. Along with certification, declaration under the TR CU is exclusively mandatory (it is impossible to issue a declaration under the TR CU voluntarily).

TR CU declaration is valid in the entire territory of the Customs Union, regardless of the country in which it was adopted.

Only a legal entity or an individual entrepreneur - resident of the EAEU - may act as an applicant for declaration of conformity of products under the requirements of the TR CU. If the manufacturer of products is a foreign entity, it must authorise another legal entity (individual entrepreneur) to perform its functions in terms of ensuring compliance of the supplied products with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union and in terms of responsibility for non-compliance of the supplied products with the requirements of the technical regulations of the Customs Union. This is done through the conclusion of a special contract of the representative of the manufacturer's interests during certification.

The validity period of the TRTS declaration is 5 years. For a batch of products the period of validity of the declaration is not limited.

The TR CU declaration is accepted by the applicant (manufacturer or supplier of products) on the basis of documents established by the requirements of technical regulations, as a rule, these are:

product passport

operating manual

safety substantiation

drawings and schemes

factory test reports

certificates and safety data sheets for components

laboratory test reports.

TR CU declarations are drawn up on plain white A4 paper and are subject to mandatory registration in the Register of declarations of conformity.
