Certification Process
Equipment Classification
Determine the equipment class based on Tables 1–9 in Appendix 1. For example, a DN300 PN10 MPa pipeline belongs to Class 3.
Document Preparation
Core Documents: Safety Argumentation Report (including FMEA analysis), Strength Calculation Document (GOST 34233 standard), Material Certificates (GOST/ASME), etc.
Other Documents: Technical Passport (including material certificates, welding records), Risk Analysis Report (17 types of hazards), Russian-language Operating Manual (including emergency response procedures), etc.
Application Submission
The customer provides the certification body (e.g., Rongyida) with product information and technical documents, including product manuals, quality control plans, and relevant samples.
Preliminary Assessment
The certification body will conduct a preliminary assessment based on the submitted materials to confirm whether the product meets the conditions for applying for EAC certification.
Document Review
After completing the preliminary assessment, the certification body will conduct a detailed review of the relevant technical documents to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
On-site Inspection
Following the review, the certification body will arrange an on-site inspection to verify the effectiveness of the production process and quality management system.
Testing and Experimentation
If required by relevant regulations, necessary testing and experimentation may also be conducted on the product, such as pressure testing (1.5 times working pressure), non-destructive testing of welds (RT/UT), etc., to confirm compliance with standards.
Certificate Issuance
Companies that meet the standards will receive an EAC certification certificate, allowing them to sell products in Russia and other EAEU member states.
EAC Certification Standards for Pressure Equipment in Russia
Mechanical Safety: Ensure that pressure equipment components have sufficient mechanical strength and stability to withstand normal use and potential external forces.
Electrical Safety: If pressure equipment components include electrical parts, they must comply with electrical safety standards to prevent accidents caused by electrical failures.
Environmental Protection: Consider the environmental impact during the design, manufacturing, and use of the equipment, and comply with relevant environmental protection requirements.
Design and Manufacturing Standards for Pressure Equipment Components: Technical parameters and performance indicators must be met, such as the commonly used GOST R and GOST R ISO/IEC standards, to ensure the safety and reliability of the equipment.
Safety Assessment of Production Processes: Conduct a safety assessment of the production processes for pressure equipment components to ensure safety during production.
